We keep riding for long distances and days with no internet, and more importantly, no resupply. Today we completed eighty miles with not only no internet, and no resupply.

The result is that you get these updates late and from someone who is extremely hungry.

Having said that you we are also extremely grateful. In Glacier Mitch and his wife shared dinner with us. Mat shared beer and a campsite with us and at our campsite tonight the host gave us beer and bourbon and drive us to a mercantile for a much needed resupply. We would not still be in the trail without their generosity. That generosity extends to some really special people who make places for hikers and bikers to get out of the weather. Below is the indoor space at the Bike Station south of Eureka. The owner keeps the place immaculate and we slept indoors during a storm with winds of fifty miles and hour. Had we not slept indoors I couldn’t have been as happy climbing in the rain for twenty miles on the way to Glacier.

Bike station and our trail buddy Shawn.
Peanut butter comfort on a cold day.
One of hundreds of trout streams we have passed.
It’s a world of meadows and mountains.

After a cold and rainy day we camped at the North Fork hostel which offers hot showers and the use of their kitchen.

We also got to see the lovely sunset from Polebridge the nicest bicyclist town in America.

The next day we headed into the north end of Glacier to camp about fifteen hundred feet up at Boweman Lake.

It’s the same lake but it looked different every time.

A super nice couple in the campsite next door shared beer and dinner with us and the next day we headed to the big Apgar entrance to the park along a closed dirt road.

We also met, riding like a bat out of hell to get a huckleberry bear claw at Polebridge this guy.

Mat – life advice “don’t be a d***”

He ended up sharing not only his good advice but also beer and a campsite with us. We rented one but it turned out to be just a piece of the road and appreciated not being five feet from vehicle traffic. @

hey David! So glad you are doing this adventure! The views and photos look amazing. Eyal and I are on our way back from our (smaller and cushier) biking trip around Prince Edward Island. All together we biked 600 km and there’s nothing like being in nature for long days! On a bike! Keep having a great time and safe biking. Yael
