Sometimes you get lucky because there is something you have to do. For me getting ready for the big ride has meant riding at odd hours and often in the dark when my chores for the day are done. And, that’s sometimes been a breathtaking in its own way.

The section of the C and O from old anglers is lovely any time of day. But, it’s a kind of special most people never experience on a spring night when there is just enough light to ride without a lamp and the the joyous song of the frogs searching for that special somefrog can drown out your sorrow.
